is a stanford assu sponsored art project

is set to debut at the cantor arts center at stanford on thursday, october 2nd.
is an edition of ten mobiles, made from paper and wire that expresses the notion of binary code, 0s and 1s, being transferred around the world – a technology that affords connections between people and places like never seen before. a significant group of words or phrase will be chosen and translated into binary code. each binary code translation will be turned into a cohesive and interesting letterpress plate design using different fonts and font sizes. and, each design will be digitally made using Adobe Illustrator, manually exposed on film and made into a polymer plate. Each piece of 220 lb paper will be hand-printed on using an antique letterpress, and each mobile assembled using jewelry techniques. the project will be chronicled using digital photography and on this accompanying website.
